OPERATION KIDS NEWS ANNOUNCEMENT

July 23, 2008

Internationally recognized law firm adds Operation Kids to pro bono client roster; Kelly Crabb appointed to Operation Kids Board

SALT LAKE CITY and LOS ANGELES, July 23, 2008 – Operation Kids has been granted pro bono client status by law firm Morrison & Foerster LLP. Morrison & Foerster will act as exclusive representative in all areas of nonprofit compliance, intellectual property, and entertainment. In addition, Kelly Crabb, partner in Morrison & Foerster’s Los Angeles office has been named to the Operation Kids National Advisory Board.

“Operation Kids and Morrison & Foerster have enjoyed a 10-year relationship,” said Rick Larsen, president of Operation Kids. “However, at this stage of our growth both in the U.S. and worldwide, it is critical that we have full access to the kind of counsel and guidance that only a firm of this magnitude can offer. We are delighted that Kelly Crabb will join our Advisory Board. Kelly has been a dedicated advisor to Operation Kids since its inception and with his guidance and support, we have made an overwhelming impact in charities across the globe that make kids lives better everyday.”

Morrison & Foerster has a long history of commitment to providing free legal services in matters of public interest. Pro bono activities at their offices around the world range from staffing legal service clinics and counseling hundreds of nonprofit organizations to handling high-impact litigation. Their greatest efforts have focused on child poverty and school education issues, civil rights and liberties cases, international human rights, political asylum, environmental matters, access to justice, and housing issues.

According to Larsen, this makes the new relationship even more important. “The Operation Kids approach demands that every partner, at every step of the process, brings not only expertise, but a true commitment to children. Morrison & Foerster demonstrates that commitment on a daily basis,” said Larsen.

Morrison & Foerster partner Kelly Crabb said, “It is a privilege for our firm to contribute to the continuing success of Operation Kids. We are dedicated to seeing the organization help as many children in need as possible and I am delighted to become an Advisory Board member to help see this mission through.”
